The Sheerframe sustainable window range from LB Plastics will be on display at Interbuild, and will include windows that achieve 'A' Energy Rating. A new range of acoustic ventilators will also be showcased.
One of the latest additions to the Sheerframe range from is the PVC vertically sliding sash window, a design which offers egress to the requirements of Part B of the Building Regulations. It's engineering means that much smaller windows of this type can be used as escape windows for the first time, with windows just 900mm high complying with legislation.

Specialists in heating, hot water and ventilation Applied Energy is making it 'renewable' at Interbuild, with heat pumps, solar and wind turbines from its market leading brands.
Stiebel Eltron heat pumps, Xpelair micro wind turbines and Redring Solar will all be at this year's event.
Xpelair will be showing the Stealth-Gen range of roof mounted micro wind turbines, which the Government are planning to use to combat climate change.
The Redring Sunstore range of thermal collectors utilise the latest vacuum tube technology, for solar heating in UK conditions.
The Stiebel Eltron heat pump also uses renewable energy from its surroundings.
Hall 4, Stand C55/D50
For the first time, Makita has added a cordless pin nailer to its inventory of professional power tools. The 14.4 volt nailer holds 110 nails in the magazine and will drive home 0.6mm (diameter) pin nails from 18-35mm long. The depth of the finished nail can be adjusted top give either flush, recessed or proud fit. The machine is especially useful for on site installations or second fit.

Kingspan will be launching a new super 'off-site' division, Kingspan Off-Site, and will introduce its full range of timber and steel-based off-site solutions. The Kingspan Off-Site division will combine the product solutions and technical expertise of both the company's existing steel and timber divisions.
This latest move follows the company's acquisition of Pace Timber Systems and Potton earlier this year, which made it the largest timber-based system manufacturer in the UK.
Kingspan managing director Gilbert McCarthy, said: 'Kingspan has been at the forefront of developing modern methods of construction, but until now this has been under separate divisions. The formation of Kingspan Off-Site brings this work together to create a specialist.'

A door manufacturer will be warning housebuilders about the importance of air permeability at this year's show. In the context of recent trends and new legislation, Manse Masterdoor is highlighting the importance of air tightness in a property for reducing the cost of energy bills for the house buyer. Where a door seal is key in retaining heat in the property, many door makers quote conduction (calculated by u values) as the key factor but the exhibitor claims the most important aspect for reducing wasted energy is air tightness.

Interbuild will be the launch-pad for an extreme impact resistant partition from British Gypsum for applications where onerous BS5234 Severe Duty Rating does not provide sufficient performance assurance.
Gypwall Extreme is claimed to have been designed to perform beyond the most demanding impact and abrasion resistance criteria. It has been developed in conjunction with specifiers in schools and hospitals, where kicking and glancing impact from trolleys cause damage.

After an absence of more than 10 years, British Gypsum is returning to Interbuild with a stand dedicated to its off-site solutions.
A growing element of the new build market, offsite manufacture is claimed to offer a solution to the quality issue sometimes associated with site-build methods, but also introduces a new set of challenges for manufacturers whose panel systems not only have to compete cost-wise with 'traditionally built' panels, but must be extra robust to cope with the stresses and strains of factory to site transportation.

Hall 3/3A, Stand M75
A water softener from Culligan International is said to give customers greater choice by introducing new technology and a space saving design.
The new MC450 headlines Culligans presence at Interbuild 2007, which includes a display of popular water softeners and conditioners that are said to enable property developers and builders to ensure peace of mind for homeowners.
The company says customers will enjoy greater choice for positioning the new unit. Its height is 13% less than the MC350.
Hall 3, Stand P40
John Guest Speedfit will be displaying new White Flexihoses which have recently been added to its Speedfit range. Made from white PVC, the new hoses offer an improved through bore and better flow characteristics. A layer of Polyester braiding, spirally wound, is included in the construction to give extra strength.
Also on show will be the Speedfit Underfloor Heating System, which has been designed with easy installation in mind. Pipe connections to the manifold are made with a simple push-in action.
With a low insertion level and grip then seal feature, Speedfit is said to be an easy and cost-effective solution. The flexible pipe can be threaded through inaccessible spaces, and the range boasts 200 products.
