Blue-grey natural stone from Burlington has been used to create a centrepiece within the public realm of Birmingham?s Bullring, Europe?s largest retail-led regeneration project. The stone forms part of a water feature that has been created in St Martin?s Square at the heart of the 26-acre site. In this area three glass cubes, in heights of 2, 3 and 5m, are partially clad in Burlington blue-grey stone. The stone seemingly cloaks the cubes on three sides, with each cube featuring a different coloured lightbox that has been surrounded by stacked glass walls. Burlington?s natural stone has also been used to create a series of three interlinked 50mm deep pools, one at the base of each glass cube which collect water as it cascades down the glass.
