 Offering specially designed structural or aesthetic steel profiles, a new precision welding service - Jansen Personal Profiles - has been introduced by Sch?co Jansen. Claimed to be a first for the industry, the new service allows a bespoke profile to be produced at a vastly reduced cost when compared to conventional roll-box methods. The Personal Profiles service takes different elements from the company's standard range of profiles and using computer-controlled robotic equipment, laser welds them together to form a new bespoke version. The weld bead is virtually invisible and, because it has been laser welded, there is no distortion to the profile, the company claims. If required, steel plates, tube or box sections can be grafted onto standard profiles.
