Product Review - Light Projects Ltd
Illuminating history - Light Projects Ltd
London's Victoria Enbankment now has a new Battle of Britain Memorial lit using Roblon Fibre Optic fittings supplied by the Light Projects Group.
Fibre Optics were specified to provide high quality lighting coupled with low maintenance requirements, the company claims.
Several 150W Metal Halide light generators with 4.5mm and 6mm diameter fibre optic cables were employed. Individual light points comprise recessed, adjustable eyeball fittings in stainless steel with vandal resistant toughened front glass.
In addition to the lighting canopies, Metal fabricators Woodhouse supplied Cranked Bollards to house lighting at ground level.
All of the fittings were designed specifically for the memorial to give the flexibility and control needed to create the desired lighting effect for the memorial sculpture.
