 Queens Park Rangers' Loftus Road stadium is being defended from the elements by Dulux Trade Metalshield following the redecoration of the Ellerslie Road Stand.
The seven week project to repaint the roof's steel structure followed the failure, over time, of the previous gloss coating. Employing 'barrier technology' to lock out air and moisture, Metalshield has been developed to extend protection and therefore increase maintenance cycles.
According to Dulux Trade, due to its fast drying times, the three-coat system could be completed in just over one working day. This made savings for QPR as the cost of hiring scaffolding was reduced by the job being completed quickly.
A 'QPR Blue' was chosen from Metalshield's tinted range for the project.
