 All passengers, including those with disabilities, can now benefit from improved lift performance at Bristol Temple Meads station following Stannah Lift Services refurbishment of three existing lifts at the station. The upgrade has brought the lifts in line with the requirements of new legislation, including the Disability Discrimination Act. Now the lifts, together with their upgraded motor rooms, provide a smoother journey, improved car levelling facilitating better access, audible indicators in and outside the lift car, and lower level operating switches for wheelchair users.
