 Entrances and exits at Worcester University have been upgraded with Tormax products. Supplied and installed by the company were single and bi-parting sliding doors, existing swing doors automated by Smart Drive operators, a permanently open fire door that closes in an emergency event, and a telescopic sliding door at the entrance of the student union.
The company recommended automating existing internal swing doors with Smart Drive 1101 operators. Compliant with Disability Discrimination Act requirements, it includes functions that are normally found on more expensive systems, for example, a push-and-go facility.
All of the company's automatic doors can be made and specified for variable opening widths, hold-open time and closing speed, depending on traffic flow and environmental factors.
