 Specified for a conservatory roof at Red Lodge Care Home in Somerset is Sheerlite, manufactured by L.B. Plastics. A roof had to be built which would join the existing care home building with a new 16 room extension and create an expanded dining area.
In order to ensure that the roof was constructed safely, Sheerlite galvanised steel rafters were used with hidden bolsters to provide a snow loading provision, without detracting from the visual appeal of the roof. The system has a clip lock mechanism with the capacity to fit all pvc window systems, fast fit gutter systems, 'captive bolts', and four glazing bars.
