An aluminium cladding system that enables complex shapes to be created through curving, tapering and twisting the sheets has been used by building envelope specialists Lakesemere in the new grandstand at Aintree racecourse.
Kalzip XT was used to create the unusual design of the two grandstands , which features aluminium cladding that curves around the eaves and sweeps down along the rear wall. The company designed each of the individual sheets using 3D CAD technology in a challenging project.
