 he two roles performed by Neaco's Techdeck aluminium open grille system is said to be the main reason behind its specification at a new-build sixth form college in Sheffield.
Techdek has been installed on the ground floor to provide a security screen whilst providing another role as sunshading.
'We selected Techdek when realised that by installing it vertically and with appropriate fixings, it could as both security screen and louvre,' said a spokesman for Ellis Williams architects. 'It is also very neat and is corrosion-resistant for a durable installation'.
Techdek is claimed to be a versatile product that is suitable for a large number of other applications including staging, decking, ventilation grilles, balustrade infills and roof access walkways.
