Nearly 460 bathroom pods for a major student accommodation development in Birmingham have been supplied by Chrysalis Pod & Modular.
'Tight construction timescales meant that conventional builder-built bathrooms were not an option. In addition, pre-made bathrooms offered a more cost-effective but we were not prepared to compromise on quality,' said development co-ordinator Paul Gillespie. 'The pods have a quality feel that we have not seen in bathroom pods before.'
The 457 pods were manufactured off-site at Chrysalis Pod & Modular Systems' factory in Hull. Batches of around 40 pods have been delivered to HBG Construction as each floor is built.
