 The problem of minor scratches, or damage to stair handrails, riser or spindles, all of which can occur when installing on site, could be solved with the launch of the new Stairs Repair Kit from Jeld-Wen.
The 'all in one' kit contains a touch-up pen, heated melting knife and a block of coloured hardwax fill material plus a levelling plate to ensure a smooth 'good as new' finish for staircases.
Tony Pell, Product Manager at Jeld-Wen, said: 'We introduced the repair kit to help developers achieve a perfect finish on handover to buyers. The kit is really simple to use, and compatible with both unfinished and finished products within our range.'
The company offers a choice of factory finished options that are said to enhance performance and prolong the lifespan of the staircase. Stairs are also available pre-assembled as part of Modern Methods in Construction.
