The new Felixstowe headquarters of the China Shipping Agency features Western Red Cedar Timber louvres from Levolux, to protect office workers from solar heat gain.
The series of vertical and horizontal timber fins and supporting columns were chosen for their ability to withstand the elements, a plus considering the building's North Sea-facing position. The louvres also shield the building from heat gain, by preventing sun rays from hitting the glass.
