Product Review - Tecroc Products Ltd
High strength adhesives and grouts from Tecroc are being uses in the construction of a major new bridge over the A6 in Chorley, Lancashire.
The bridge deck comprises some 32 precase bridge beams mounted on elastomeric bearings. Tecroc Epoxy Adhesive 305 was used in order to provide a high strength bond between the concrete beams and the bearings.
The three part epoxy resin-based material provides a rapid bond between the concrete beams and bearings, at a strength of 70N/mm˛ at one week.
The bearings have also been bedded using Tecroc's cementitous CS Grout. Tecroc Epoxy Putty was used to fill narrow gaps in a recess around the top bearings.
