Tarkett Marley Floors' products have been specified in 13 primary schools as part of Barnsley's £54 million PFI investment.
The programme is designed to upgrade and replace the existing schools in the area to provide state of the art facilities that will benefit 3,600 pupils and staff from 'enhanced' learning environments.
Commenting on the project Phil Tate from Fresco Group said: "We took the decision to use Tarkett Marley Floors because they met all our key criteria and are products that we have had experience with on similar projects. The floor coverings offer a high performance standard, in terms of safety, durability and maintenance, with a wide colour palette of appropriate neutral tones they look good and offer value for money."
The Optima range was fitted in the classrooms and corridors. Optima is an IQ flooring which means that it is a high quality, low maintenance homogeneous vinyl flooring for commercial applications. The quality and composition of the overall thickness combined with 3rd generation PUR means that Optima needs no was or polish and offers excellent maintenance properties.
