The UK's first compact piling rig has been bought by Abbey Pynford in a deal worth ?200,000. Designed and engineered to the company's specification, the Soil Tek S45, is said to herald a new generation of small, but highly powerful piling rigs. It should be in demand for sites with restricted access. Furthermore, when used in conjunction with the company's Housedeck it eliminates the need for a piling carpet.
