Electric door strikes from Abloy Security allow escape route doors, interlock system doors and doors with an air seal to be opened when subject to side loads.
The fail-unlocked effeff 331 strike has been designed for doors on escape routes while the 131 strike was developed for doors and barriers in interlock systems.
In normal operating conditions, wooden or metal doors with either 331 or 131 will open with a push or pull, making the products suitable for applications where the elderly, disabled or young are operating the doors.
The single action electric strikes are manufactured from precision cast steel so they can withstand environmental conditions, frequent use and vandalism. Break-in resistance on the products is 15,000N for 131 and 7,500N for the 331.
Multi-function electric locks are available from Abloy Security. The products are non-handed, 12-24V, fail locked or unlocked, in a choice of motor or solenoid operation and can be fitted to all types of timber or metal doors. For safety during an emergency, free egress is allowed by the inside lever handle, whilst mechanical override by key comes as standard for authorised personnel.
