A standing seam metal roofing system from Alumasc has been applied to a village hall in Warwickshire.
The Armaseam product is produced in two standard widths and in copper, zinc, stainless steel or aluminium. It uses no penetrative fixings with the panels are roll formed from a strip coil to any length and then mechanically seamed onto secret fixed clips to eliminate end laps.
Providing a striking roofing solution, Armaseam standing seam roofing from Alumasc has been employed on the accommodation blocks at Limerick University's Thormond student village, Ireland. The raised standing seam roof features an anti-drumming mat, ensuring peace for the residents even during the worst hailstorms, the company claims. Alumasc also supplied a rainwater system for the project.
Installed at a coffee shop at Drummore is a ZinCo green roof system from Alumasc. It was specified to meet planning authorisation for the area.
The roof build-up consists of a Derbigum warm roof construction with a root resistant cap sheet, overlaid with SSM45 Moisture Mat, Floradrain FD40 drainage board, a filter sheet and a roof substrate to support the vegetation.
Complemented by Skyline fascia soffits and Alumasc rainwater products, St Radigunds community centre in Dover has been fitted with an Armaseam roof.
The barrel vault roof features stucco embossed profiles with green eaves details to contrast with timber cladding. Bullnose fascias coated in green pvdf give the appearance of weathered copper.
Armaseam's versatility means it is suitable for low pitches of down to 1.5?. Based on the principle of zip-up roofing, the product requires no penetrative fixings. The panels are roll formed from continuous strip coil to any required length and then seamed together onto concealed clips.
Built on the top of North Harringay Primary School gym, a roof garden has been construsted using ZinCo green roof technology from Alumasc.
A Derbigum anti-root overlay of the existing asphalt was specified. The green roof layers consist of a SSM45 Moisture Mat, a FD25 Drainage Layer with SF filter sheet attached, and Zincolit substrate mixed in with local top soil.
Designed to provide high capacity drainage, Alumasc has introduced a sixth Aqualine extruded gutter profile. The Aqualine Deep Run gutter has concealed site fixings and ?virtually invisible? joints. It is designed to allow for movement at joints to compensate for linear expansion and movement in the building.
Claimed to offer all the attributes of a traditional rainwater system, along with modern benefits, Alumasc has introduced the Heritage Cast Aluminium range. The corrosion resistant gutters, pipes and fittings, available in 16 colours, are designed to echo the appearance of cast iron and is offered in mill finish or with the Raincote polyester powder coated finish.
