Existing basin taps can be converted into push operated water saving taps with the Plushtap from Aqualogic. Installation is by a size for size replacement of the mechanism, leaving the tap body and spout in place. Plushtap water saving taps include a diaphragm timer that overcomes the problem of failing open, and the operating time can be reset on site to meet water pressure requirements.

Developed as a low cost and effective way to reduce water in existing toilet installations, the Cistern Dam from Aqualogic is May?s product of the month. New toilets operate on a six litre flush, designed to conserve water. However, there are many millions of existing toilets throughout the UK that use nine litres of water or in some cases even more, every time they are flushed. It was with the desire to limit this water wastage in mind that the company developed the ?no plumb? Cistern Dam to provide significant water savings. Made from a flexible synthetic material that holds itself in place between the walls of the cistern, the Cistern Dan is able to hold back up to 60% of the flushing water, but maintains the normal water level in the cistern to provide the same water pressure for an effective flush. Bleed holes within the Cistern Dam allow water levels to equalise during refilling and prevent any risk of stagnant water build up. Designed to be low cost and simple to fit, the company believe that its system is the ideal way to save water. Its use will be particularly suitable for commercial installations, where water is metered coming in and subject to sewage charges as it leaves.
