Cancer centre topped by dual pitched roof

Ash & Lacy Building Systems Cancer centre topped by dual pitched roof The Beatson Oncology Centre in Glasgow has been granted a new home, with the help of Ash & Lacy Ashzip technology. The centre, which forms the largest non-Public private partnership hospital contract in Scotland, is the second largest cancer centre in the UK and the lead centre for the delivery of non-surgical cancer care in Scotland. Over 2,500mē of Ashzip plain mill aluminium and silver galvanised Ashfab flashing was chosen to create the dual-pitched roof for the project. George Talbot of Topek (BUR) Ltd revealed that they had chosen Ash & Lacy over other recommended suppliers, due to their consistently high product quality and ease of use, along with exceptional after-sales service; 'We use Ash & Lacy for 90% of all our roofing projects.' An Ashzip standing seam roof offers high aesthetic values, as well as outstanding weathertightness, both of which were compulsory for such a scheme. Plain mill finish aluminium demonstrates excellent durability and stability, lasting the life of the building with no maintenance work required. The plan for the Centre is based on detailed analyses of cancer trends, predicting that the incidence of the disease is set to rise by 5% per year.
