Sedgley-based Baggeridge is celebrating after two of its popular brick types reached a product milestone at its Waresley factory.
Works manager recently Eric Conway took the billionth Tuscan Red Multi and Harvest Bluff wire cut bricks off the production line.
Both types of brick have been a firm favourite with builders for more than 15 years and Mr Conway said there is still a growing market for them.
He went on to add: 'We will continue to endeavour to provide the bricks that our customers demand and we are in no doubt that it won't be long before we are celebrating the next billionth milestone.'
Merchants, architects and developers assisted in the manufacturing and design of four new brick products from Baggeridge for the house building and commercial sector.
The company invited customers to a two day consultation event at its Kingsbury factory to discuss product specification, regional planning requirements and trends in the construction sector. It was a result of this feedback that the company launched its range of sector-specific products.
The new Warm Golden Buff is suitable for new builds in the South of England, whilst the Thornhill Red Multi with orange and black tones has been manufactured for the Midlands and the North of England.
The company has also produced two brick ranges for use on brown field sites. The Smoked Antique Red Multi and the Autumn Fern Blend are both 'weathered' in appearance to give a look of natural ageing.
