Glasroc Rigdur XXL boards from British Gypsum have been designed for the offsite manufacturing sector, where their full panel size format is claimed to offer significant benefits in terms of lining quality, panel stability, installation time and process and cost efficiency.
The high density boards are made from gypsum reinforced with recylced paper fibre using a process that is said to give the board a high quality surface finish.
The surface does not require any treatment before decoration, removing an operation from the offsite manufacturing process.

Interbuild will be the launch-pad for an extreme impact resistant partition from British Gypsum for applications where onerous BS5234 Severe Duty Rating does not provide sufficient performance assurance.
Gypwall Extreme is claimed to have been designed to perform beyond the most demanding impact and abrasion resistance criteria. It has been developed in conjunction with specifiers in schools and hospitals, where kicking and glancing impact from trolleys cause damage.

Hall 5 Stand M120
After an absence of more than 10 years, British Gypsum is returning to Interbuild with a stand dedicated to its off-site solutions.
A growing element of the new build market, offsite manufacture is claimed to offer a solution to the quality issue sometimes associated with site-build methods, but also introduces a new set of challenges for manufacturers whose panel systems not only have to compete cost-wise with 'traditionally built' panels, but must be extra robust to cope with the stresses and strains of factory to site transportation.

Internal linings specialist British Gypsum has launched a new ceiling board lining that combines high levels of thermal insulation with 30 minutes fire resistance.
Developed in conjunction with a major housebuilder, the board is an extension of the company's Gyproc ThermaLine Super range, developed to satisfy the fire performance requirements for ceiling membranes in 'room-in-the-roof' constructions.
A laminate of 15mm Gyproc FireLine, a special fire-resistant plasterboard and 40mm high performance phenolic foam, the new 55mm board includes an integral vapour control layer prevent condensation in the roof construction.
It is fixed directly to the underside of joists using 90mm Gyproc Drywall screws.
