Sporting activity is no longer a racket at a Tyne & Wear school after
CMS Acoustics supplied Vertiface Composition - a retrospectively applied acoustic wall covering system to control high reverberation levels - in its new-build sports hall.
It is put directly onto finished interior walls.
Devised as a Part E compliant impact sound solution, CMS Acoustic Solutions has introduced SoundCradle. Approved for Robust Detail Type FFT2, the cradle and batten floor system can be built up to an optimum height of 540mm. It can be adjusted to accommodate various service requirements, including uneven floors and stairs. A combination of cradles and timber supports is available.
Specifically for beam and block floors, a Robust Detail system from CMS Acoustic Solutions has been brought to market. The approved system uses Regupol E48, an underscreed impact sound solution.
Regupol E48 is compatible with all types of floor screed and is suitable for use in most new build construction. A fitting procedure ensures that the material is easy to install, exceeding the requirements of Part E and delivering impact sound insulation of 49dB.
The system is particularly useful for small developments or tight sites making them suitable specifically for small and medium sized builder companies.
When pre-completion testing is preferred to Robust Detail systems, the company can also offer the Regupol 7210C. This is an under screed impact sound solution for use on hollow core beam and pre-cast applications.
