In addition, the lower level retail area was changed to Kalzip 500 profiled sheets to meet the performance requirements of flexibility, durability and minimum maintenance. Due to the ski slope housed within, the building had to be insulated against heat gain. The Kalzip sheets provide a watertight seal which when installed over the cold store construction assists in preserving the ski slope.

Aluminium for the fenestration of Oceana Boulevard, a residential development in Southampton, has been supplied by Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems. The project contains over 700 Comar 5Pi tilt and turn windows with slim outer framing which provides thermal efficiency. It has two separately extruded profiles which are rolled together with a Pi strip to form the thermal break. All windows were polyester powder coated. Comar 6 curtain walling spans all 12 storeys of the stairwells throughout the building's facades, incorporating bottom-hung 5Pi windows for use as smoke vents. The slim 50mm sightlines permit an uninterrupted views over the sea. Comar 7Pi polyamide insulated doors were incorporated into balconies.

To comply with the low energy directive, the head office of Raglan Housing Association, based in Bournemouth, has been refurbished using Comar 5P.i. windows. The 5P.i. windows are designed to reduce heat loss through a thermal break, ensuring that buildings get warmer faster and colder slower.
