Featured in the Jewson Central Office building in Coventry, a helical staircase from Crescent is providing a focal point in its reception area. The staircase, designed by Design Core, sweeps up to the first floor with a stainless steel balustrade and wooden treads. It has some unusual features including a glass insert in each tread and elegant supports for the balustrade. Crescent?s staircase system design consists of a range of basic components which can be customised to generate bespoke designs.
Wimbeldon?s All England Lawn Tennis Club encountered a problem when it was found that the minimalist exterior of its Millennium Building had to be encumbered with rainwater downpipes. However, Crescent of Cambridge solved the dilemma by designing a stair with a downpipe encased in its central column.
