A series of 18 glass office 'pods' has been supplied by D.R. Services as part of the new council buildings for Kildare County Council. The company provided 12mm toughened glass screens to construct the pods with a translucent silk-screened finish to within 800mm of the 2.5m screen height to maintain privacy and visibility.

Refurbishment for a building at St Bernard's Hospital building in London has included the addition of a glass entrance canopy, manufactured and installed by D.R. Services. Spanning the two metre width of the entrance doors, the canopy is formed from a single piece of toughened laminated glass carried by two sets of the company's adjustable rod systems. The top console is fixed to the masonry using conventional anchors while countersunk bolts hold the glass to the bottom console.

German-based MWE manufactures stainless steel sliding door systems that are now available through a UK distributor, DR Services. The company offers 12 systems from the basic Klassik through to the Aura system for revolving doors. The Klassik can be mounted to glass buildings as well as ceilings and walls. A solution to curved doors and suitable for round door leaves is found in the Vario sliding door system. For heavier duty applications, the Duplex and Duplex S have suspension properties that ensure all forces are evenly distributed. Designed for doors with threaded joints or surface fixtures, Supra is fixed to the upper edge of the door leaf for maximum operation. Advanced door design is facilitated with the Terra system which has the door runner rail fixed to the floor allowing the floor to bear the total weight of the door leaf.

Offering aesthetic and functionality, the new Sparta Pivot Door Set from DR Services does not require cut outs to be preformed in the glass door leaf. Instead security set screws are employed to clamp the two semi-cylindrical sections either side of the glass, forming a slimline, 50mm diameter section. The sets will support 8mm or 10mm thick leafs up to 900mm wide.
