Top hung sliding door systems from DR Services' Trojan range now have a brushed stainless steel effect. It was developed for its T120 Trojan system for glass, wooden or metal sliding doors. Offering low noise in operation, the range combines low friction with easy slide and a retaining clip for end stop.
In a farmhouse extension in Southern England, the owner has installed a Priva-Lite electronic glazing system from DR Services within a bathroom. The product allows for privacy by being remotely switched to opaque from clear.
It is made of 5mm outer layers of plain float glass with an EVA LCD interlayer sandwiched between the two. A 110 volt anti-pulse transformer connected to the domestic 240 volt mains is sandwiched from clear to translucent and back again using a remote control fob. Depending on the size of the glass, one or two edges have electrical conductors.
As the screen is switching from opaque to clear 50 times a second, surveillance cameras can be adapted to provide a continuous image of what is going on behind the glass.
