Compact fire
A more compact version of the SP9 fire from Dimplex's Optiflame range has been launched. The Obsidian fire can be wall-mounted and does not require a chimney or flue. Control of the 2kW fan heater, on and off, heat output and flame brightness, are through a hand held remote control. It comes with the Optiflame Elite log burning effect.

Joining the range of 300-plus electric space and hot water solutions is Dimplex's Ascari, a fully modulating electric domestic heating boiler.
The product requires no flue, and the 12kW capacity can be configured downwards to 4kW in 2kW steps.
