Capable of producing 50 million clay plain tiles a year, a ?19m factory has been opened by Marley Eternit at its site in Keele, Staffordshire.
At the official opening, newly appointed managing director Martin Turner said that the investment reinforces the company's belief in the future of the UK clay plain tile market. Despite the industry suffering through the growth of high rise apartments, Marley Eternit believes it will now be well placed to serve the market when the plans for new build homes are realised.
