Teaching a lesson in standing seam

Euroclad Ltd Teaching a lesson in standing seamAt the newly built Granta School in Linton, Cambridge, Euroclad has provided a waveform Euroseam roof. The company supplied and manufactured a waveform standing seam roof, verge and bullnose details and structural deck. Sheets were lifted onto the roof and laid over Eurodeck structural decking. Verge and bullnose details were produced in verdant green Alpolic/fr, a composite material manufactured by Mitsubishi Chemical. Euroseam is based on the principle of 'zipping up' sheet side laps over supporting halters using a mechanical seaming tool. It can be smooth curved down to a radius of 5m and be manufactured in long lengths. The availability of rollformed tapers allows for a precise finish.

Lots of curves for Penthouse

It is constructed from Plain Mill aluminium with a Stucco-embossed finish which has a 300mm cover width curved to a 23m radius. There are no external penetrations on the roof as the system 'zips up' side laps which are then closed over supporting halters. This means that weather resistance and durability are ensured.

Euroclad Ltd Top score roofing for Euroclad at ArsenalThe sign over the entrance to the North Bank of Arsenal?s Highbury stadium proudly proclaims ?Welcome to Highbury ? the Home of Football?. But from the start of the 2006/07 football season, the Gunners will have a brand new home - Emirates Stadium - which is currently rising above the skyline of North London. The stadium feature some 7,700 soffit panels manufactured by Euroclad, designed to conceal the structural steelwork of the stadium's roof. They accommodate the stadium's public address and lighting systems, the lighting being recessed into the soffits. In addition the soffits were perforated to provide the acoustic attenuation necessary to enhance the atmosphere for spectators and players alike. Soffit with bullnose feature

Euroclad Ltd Soffit with bullnose featureDesign and functionality in a roof from Euroclad can be seen at Porth Plaza development in Rhondda, Wales. Circular portholes, cut into the soffit with bullnose feature, project over the front of the building. The design is achieved by several 2m diameter prefabricated circular panels cut from the overhang soffit. The company employed computerised machinery to ensure absolute precision as the design required each piece to be cut consistently and evenly. Due to the design of the building, Linear Three panels were used on the bullnose soffit. Each cassette panel is fixed to the support grid and can be supplied with a rain screen.
