Emergency evacuation chair manufacturer Evac+Chair International is allowing existing customers to trade in their chairs for the latest model. The company tells Building Products that the new Evac+Chair MK3 is an enhanced model, and customers who want to upgrade can do so and also receive a substantial discount. Managing director Barry Scholes said it was an excellent opportunity for organisations to benefit from new improvements.

Offering an alternative for evacuation, based on provisions for the mobility impaired, the Evac+Chair provides a solution. The product uses continuous rotating v-belts to provide a controlled descent down stairways, enabling a single user to evacuate a person with mobility difficulties without the need for lifting or altering the fabric of the building.
