Recyclability of Excel Building Solution's Warmcell insulation has been demonstrated following the reclamation and reprocessing of 800kg of the material from a bungalow in Bristol. The product was removed from the entire 'envelope' of the home and returned to the company's factory where it was 'cleaned' of impurities such as screws, nails and re processed along with standard newspaper stock. Manufactured from 100% recycled newspaper, it has low embodied energy and a high BRE environmental rating. It has zero ozone depletion potential and due to reducing heat demand as a result of insulation performance, and it lowers household CO? emissions.
