Solar-assisted hot water systems from Ferroli are being launched in the UK, with two solar collecting products offered by the company. For larger homes, the company's solar collector panels pre-heat the water stored in the cylinder by a primary heating coil. In smaller homes, the panels pre-heat the water in the company's AquaSol cylinder, which incorporates a heat exchanger coil, pump, and a drain back cylinder so that the solar collector can be emptied automatically.
