Wood based products supplier, Finnforest, has released its new Finnframe 3.0 software package. The company said this latest release will be instrumental in the design and conversion of floor plan to 3-D visualisations and will provide quick and accurate structural and assembly drawings.
The Finnframe 3.0 can create floor cassette/panel layouts and production drawings for a single, standards-compliant solution from drawing board to the finished building.
Designed to offer an almost seamless finish, Finnforest has developed Synchrofit, a new engineered wooden flooring. The company claims that its superior fit and greater stability is due to its engineered three layer construction. The wear layer is of top grade wood at 4mm nominal thickness. This offers the qualities of a solid wood floor without the waste associated with a solid plank of hardwood. It is selected by a ?wood eye? computer, then by wood graders to ensure that each board is as flawless as the one adjacent to it. Each board has also been given six layers of factory applied clear lacquer, to provide high durability even in heavy wear areas. This ?wear layer? is bonded to two lower layers of Scandinavian spruce or pine. Synchrofit comes in a choice of wood species and in three collections: The Classic range comes in single wide planks and is best laid in larger flooring areas; the Contemporary range of three strip planks is designed for a more modern look; and the Heritage offers a rustic, natural appearance.
