An anti-drip worktop profile from GEC Anderson is proving popular with schools and hospitals, where hygiene and cleanliness are paramount concerns. Headlands Primary School in Northampton and St Bartholomews Hospital in London have had the stainless steel worktop installed, which rises over a 20mm distance at the edge to a height of 3mm. It can be applied to front, rear and side edges and is compatible with other edge profiles and surface finishes available on GEC Anderson worktops. It can be used on stainless steel of both domestic and acid resisting grades. Martin Tye, GEC Anderson MD, said: 'It provides a practical barrier to stop minor spills, or items rolling off the worktop, that could damage under-sink cupboards or the floor below.'

A health club has installed seven hemispherical surface mounted stainless steel bowls from GEC Anderson as part of a stylish refit of its men's changing room. The double-skinned C38 bowls are a recent addition to the company's range of made-to-measure stainless steel products for bathrooms and kitchens.

Boss is a raised profile, made-to-measure stainless steel worktop from GEC Anderson. It is said to give designers the opportunity of both increasing visual impact and increasing its usefulness. Boss configurations are pressed into the stainless steel worksurface and are formed from raised circular profiles arranged in various set patterns to suit standard bowl, hob or worktop sizes. Refurbishment of a campsite services facility at a country park provided a testing ground for a new stainless steel kitchen furniture range from GEC Anderson. The Decometric sinktop is 1700 x 600mm with a water-retaining 40mm lipped edge at the front and sides, and an 85mm sloping upstand at the back. Bowls are 400 x 400 x 250mm and are positioned 100mm apart. Both have 38mm outlets and two 30mm diameter tapholes at 200mm centres behind each bowl.

Durable stainless steel sinktops from GEC Anderson have been applied at the V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green, London. The sinktops, in domestic grade satin finish stainless steel and with integrated bowls, have been applied in three areas. All of the products are manufactured to ISO 9001

Square cornered bowls from GEC Anderson provide a visual alternative to rounded bowls for integration with worktops of stainless steel or other materials. Bowls can be freely positioned with a minimum of 35mm from any worktop edge or adjacent bowls. Alternatively bowls are available individually with a 20mm flat flange for use in conjunction with other worktop materials for insetting, flush-mounting or under-mounting. Standard square bowls are available in six sizes from 160 by 340 by 130mm to 800 by 400 by 185mm. The range includes several standard double bowl and bowl/drainer combinations. Bowls in the square range are made from a satin finish stainless steel.

Stainless steel sinks and worktops from GEC Anderson have been installed at the new Evelina Children's Hospital, which is part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Installed in nurses' stations and clinical areas throughout the building, the company's products were crafted with brushed satin or textured finishes and water-retaining edge details. The company supplied some 50 items, mostly worktops in 1mm or 1.25mm stainless steel, with integrally welded bowls, for fitting on cabinets, insetting into larger work surfaces or wall mounting. The wall-mounted worktops feature bowls with their exposed undersides polished. Stainless steel surfaces provide a hard-wearing surface that can be maintained to modern hospital hygiene standards.
