Lift manufacturer Gartec has installed a disabled platform lift in the Craftworld store in Manchester's Lowry Designer Outlet Shopping Mall. Finished in a white colour, it is designed to match the decor of the store. It is flexible with concealed automatic door openers and has its own glazed shaft providing travel over 3.8m and requires no separate structure or machine room.

Situated within the Lowry Designer Outlet shopping mall, the Craftworld store features a disabled platform life from Gartec. Finished in white to match the decor within the store, the lift features concealed automatic door openings. Enabling the council to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), Gartec has installed a disabled platform lift at Bideford Town Hall in Devon. Finished in a neutral colour scheme to match the d?cor, the platform lift provides a solution for disabled access over three levels within the Town Hall. It is self contained within its own structure, glazed on three sides, does not need a separate shaft or machine room, and little building work is required to install it.

An inter-denominational mission, the Chinese Overseas Christian Mission (COCM) has had a Gartec disabled platform lift installed in its new three-storey headquarters in Milton Keynes. The 1900m² building provides offices for teaching staff and the Mission Centre, seminar rooms, library, dining and social areas as well as 40 bedrooms for students. Having created a building with a natural but modern look, the COCM wanted to comply with Disability Discrimination Act regulations and provide ease of access to all facilities within the building. The COCM chose to install a Gartec three-stop platform lift in the reception area to fulfil this brief. Modern in appearance, the standalone lift has been configured to complement the bold colours and choice of materials in the building?s design.

Mariners Close, a collection of 30 sheltered housing flats for the elderly, has had a two-stop disabled platform lift installed by Gartec. Installed within an existing stairwell to allow access to all floors within the complex for residents, the lift did not need a separate structure or machine room and is self-contained within its own shaft.
