Working through the night, Gartec staff installed the company's latest disabled platform lift at the Virgin Megastores branch in Canterbury. To ensure shoppers were not inconvenienced, engineers began work at 6pm on a Friday night after the store had closed, finishing at 8am the next morning ready for the store to start normal trading. The two-stop lift is fully flexible, with concealed automatic door openers, and is self-contained within its own glazed structure. No separate shaft or machine room is needed.
