Views across Bristol from a high specification five-storey building have been complemented by a rooftop garden fitted with products from HLD's Octawood collection.
The product portfolio is made from kiln dried, pressure impregnated European Redwood, which is guaranteed for 25 years against rotting, fungi and insect attack.
Two steel and timber footbridges have been supplied by HLD as part of the long-term re-design of the grounds at Endsleigh Insurance headquarters. The 8.7 and 5m long bridges span a man-made lake to form the main pedestrian route to the building. The Causeway-style of the bridges reflected the Lutyens-style offices and the surrounding landscape. A range of products is available from the company for residential and commercial projects.
Decking for St Katharine Docks, close to Tower Bridge in London, has been supplied and installed by HLD. K2, the latest development at the historical site, includes a new piazza and complex boardwalk incorporating curved and straight areas. Some 400m? of timber has been used for the boardwalk, which fronts the Quay level shopping space and overlooks the marina. HLD's Antislip Plus deck board system has been installed, incorporating three tapered resin bonded aggregate grip strips per board to give a symmetrical coverage of slip resistance around the curved area. The straight boardwalk area is cantilevered off the existing dock wall. It is primarily a steel structure with timber joints and decking. The decking timbers and bearers are an FSC certified species from South America.
