One of Slough's main car parking facilities has been supplied with ICI Dulux Trade's Anti-Grafitti and Pyroshield paints for a refurbishment project. Areas painted using the company's Anti-Graffiti system resist permanent marking from acts of vandalism. Any marks can be washed off with an Anti-Graffiti remover. In addition, Pyroshield upgrades previously painted surfaces to Class 1 or Class O, delaying the initial stages of flame spread when vehicle owners may still be making their way to safety. The flame retardant coating system is water-based, quick drying and low odour as well as being free from hazardous materials.

Tests run by the Paint Research Association claim that Dulux Trade's Weathershield Woodstain Advanced Protection paint developed a more flexible film over time, resulting in less peeling and cracking. Queens College, London, one of the longest established girls? schools in the country has had its public face restored with the use of Weathershield paint products from Dulux Trade. The college is housed in a magnificent Georgian building. For its front door the Weathershield exterior gloss system was chosen. With a flexible undercoat and high shine gloss the system is designed to tolerate the minor expansions and contractions of wood in a temperate climate. For the stone sections the choice was Weathershield All Seasons masonry paint. Allowing water vapour to pass through the paint surface, any moisture in the stone can escape into the open air, rather than causing lifting and bubbling of the paint surface.

Covering more than 90% of the interior of the Royal Aberdeen Children?s Hospital, Glidden professional paints are available from the Dulux Trade collection of products. Cost was one of the factors in the specification, along with the product?s robust finish to ensure longevity. These characteristics were found in Glidden Trade Acrylic Eggshell, and Trade High Gloss.
