Fixing for electricians and contractors is now easier and neater with its new range of Split Grip Anchors, says ITW Construction Products. The Split Grip L has a specially designed lip to keep the anchor flush with the substrate for an effective fix, no matter how deep the drill hole. The female, drop-in anchor is designed for fixing medium loads into concrete. Once in position, it is expanded using a manual setting tool or an SDS hammer drill setting tool. The Split L Grip allows the screw to self guide when entered into the thread while the reduced diameter of the anchor makes it easier to insert and set. Outer retaining recesses ensure strong anchorage into the substrate. Contractors do not have to drill exact depths as the lip has been computer designed to ensure that the anchor stays flush with the surface of the substrate. The anchor then expands when the bolt is hammered home.
