Seaside solution
In order to reduce impact sound transmission, Icopal has installed 5000m? of Monarfloor Deck 18 acoustic system at apartments in Hastings. The system does not utilise mechanical fixings and is installed over existing floorboards by gluing the tongue and groove joints with an adhesive. Sound insulation is provided by a layer of LRAC bonded to moisture resistant chipboard.
