Once Icopal's Xtraload Elite Damp Proof Course (DPC) has been installed, Wigan's new ?120 million Grand Arcade shopping centre will be watertight.
The system is being installed to offer a cost-effectiveness and high performance. It features a sand finish which gives adhesion to mortar and can be installed in different temperatures and weather conditions.
A bitumen polymer Damp Proof Course with a polyester base, it has been independently certified by the British Board of Agrement.
The DPC, which is easy to shape and form around detailing work, is being installed using the company's double sided Xtraload Jointing Tape.
