Veneer doors get a revamp
The rising price of hardwood lippings has led Jeld-Wen to makeover its real wood veneered internal and paint grade veneer faced doors.
The lippings along the long edges have been removed, which will allow US manufacturer Jeld-Wen to keep the doors at a competitive price, and eliminate the problem of shrinkage and expansion, which has sometimes resulted in hairline cracks appearing between the lipping and the door face. The absence of these cracks will result in a significant improvement in the overall appearance of the installed product.
The changes bring the doors in line with much of the European and US door industry.
