Reading-based Kee Klamp has helped Islington Council comply with the Disability Discrimination Act with a new tubular handrail system at Whittington Park, created using components from its 500 series. The new handrailing has been fitted alongside an access ramp at the Park's recently built football pitch.
Over 65m of handrailing has been fitted, using a size 7 tube which is powder coated to meet the 'not cold to the touch' requirements of the DDA.
In line with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), Kee Klamp is assisting Luton Borough Council ensure the safety of visitors to the Memorial Park Bowling Green. An installation of a handrailing system was constructed using fittings from the company's 500 Series.
The range is designed to give a handrail with size seven tube and an outside diameter of 42.4mm. It comprises a total of 15 fittings in a choice of RAL colours to meet the visibility and 'not cold to the touch' requirements of the DDA. It includes an offset fitting which allows a new handrail to be added onto an existing structure.
