In a joint venture with Circle 33 Housing Group, Kee Klamp has assisted in creating secure, effective and ?family friendly? balcony guardrailing at the Leybridge Court development in London. The estate features over 130 flats contained within a series of three 1970s build blocks. Many have balconies where the original balustrading was falling into disrepair, and identified to be in need of wholesale replacement. Kee Klamp has supplied fittings from its extensive range for the quick and easy assembly of each new balcony structure. The project team has connected the tubular structures together to feature forward-facing aluminium perforated panels with Perforated Powder Coated in-fill panels at each end. Fittings from the company can be used in a wide variety of applications ? from guardrailing to display systems and playground climbing equipment.
Dual-purpose guardrailing from Kee Klamp has been provided to the refurbishment of a viaduct on St Martins Way in Chester.
Designed for use with removable uprights, the company's Ground Socket fittings set at 1.75m intervals along the edge of the bridge deck. They are now a permanent feature of the newly cast concrete plinth, which provides workmen with access during future maintenance. The fittings enabled the assembly of a temporary guardrailing structure to protect against falls.
The type 66 Ground Socket fitting incorporates an integral screw for secure locking of the tube, eliminating the need for welding. A standard hex ratchet and tube cutters are the only tools required to create the rigid structures.
