Reading-based Kee Klamp has extended its 500 range so that specifiers can meet the non-discriminatory access requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act and Building Regulations Part M:2004.
Included in the range are two new fittings, complete with an integral weatherproof cap, for connection either to single or dual handrails. These can be installed at any required angle. A further new fitting offers a midpoint connection to dual handrails, when required, and the company has introduced a one piece 90? corner elbow fitting. An outside diameter of 42.4mm fits with DDA requirements.
The range can be used on new structures or retrofitted, with ability to be augmented with other fittings from the company.
Fittings from Kee Klamp have provided the versatility necessary for the construction of 48 new driving range bays at the TopGolf Game Centre in Addlestone, Surrey. Specified as an alternative to pre-fabricated framing, the fittings help create tubular structures which divide up the internal driving bay areas and provide support for seating, poster frames and signage. The variety of fittings and their compatibility with different tube sizes ensures that the arrangement of framing required for the functionality of the scheme could be achieved. Also, as the range includes special crank and end fittings, there was no need for any one-off fabrications. All fittings were powder coated with no on-site finishing required.
