A development of houses in Norwich has been constructed with the use of Kingspan Century's TEK Building System. It was specified by Broadland Housing Association for its thermal properties, which enabled the Housing Association to achieve an EcoHomes rating of 'Very Good'.
The system offers design flexibility and quick build times. With a u-value of 0.20W/m?K, it can cut heating bills by 80%, the company claims. A low u-value is achieved due to the composition of 110mm of rigid urethane insulation, which has a zero ozone depletion potential and zero global warming potential, sandwiched between two sheets of OSB. The jointing system minimises air that can pass through the joints, allowing for high levels of airtightness.
Securing an EcoHomes rating of 'good', Broadland Housing Association's development in Norfolk has included Kingspan Century's TEK Building System. Delivering an airtightness value of 0.20W/mK, the system is based on Structural Insulated Panels with a composition of 110mm of rigid urethane insulation sandwiched between two sheets of OSB.
