The strength of Lafarge Plasterboard's acoustic partitioning range has been demonstrated once again with a specified contact to supply all the drylining requirements for a new Cine UK complex currently being built in High Wycombe.
The company has supplied its dBcheck sound resistant wallboard, 90mm Cormet C stud and Cormet Acoustic V Brace to drylining contractors BDL of Uxbridge.
BLD have constructed twin frame cinema partitions using twin rows of Lafarge Y gauge 90mm Cormet C studs braced horizontally at 3m centres with acoustic V braces to provide stability.
The dBcheck wallboard has then been fixed to the partition in multiple plasterboard layers in varying thicknesses of 12.5mm, 15mm and 19mm.
Giant partitions, constructed using drywall systems from Lafarge Plasterboard are helping provide fire safety at a repair and maintenance facility at RAF St Athan, Cardiff. Floor to ceiling provide fire separation between three interlinking hangars, offeringeither one or two hour fire resistance. Offices behind the partition achieve a one hour rating.
