Due to the development of a new low odour, synthetic latex liquid, Laybond Products? ScreedMaster 2 smoothing compound can now be used in occupied buildings such as retail premises and offices. Synthetic latex does not require ammonia in its composition, hence its absence of odour. ScreedMaster 2 can now be used with the traditional latex liquid or the ammonia-free version.
New smoothing compounds have been added to Laybond Products? range of ScreedMaster subfloor preparation products. The new additions include Screed- Master Ultra which is designed for fast track projects. It can be applied in thicknesses from 1 to 15mm , is self-curing and will accept carpet, vinyl and rubber coverings 3hr. after application. For the levelling of calcium sulphate screeds ScreedMaster Gypsum is a high strength, proteinfree product with flow characteristics that are claimed to be superior to latex equivalents. while ScreedMaster Woodsmooth is designed for the levelling of wood substrates, ceramic tiles and terrazzo.
Fast drying and setting, Screed- Master Feather Finish from Laybond Products is a cementitious skim coating and patching compound. It has very fine grain particles and a high polymer content, so it does not require the use of a primer or any liquid additives. It is suitable for use over cementitious tiles, terrazzo, timber, existing screeds and smoothing compounds.
