Marley Eternit has rebranded its UK building boards range in an effort to reflect its parent company's influence on the European fibre cement market.
Products sold throughout the continent by the Etex Group will now feature the same brand names in a move which the company says in being reflected across European manufacturing, whatever the sector.
Marley Eternit claims its range of building boards is one of the largest, most versatile on the UK market, drawing on its 90+ years of fibre cement market.
Fibre cement Weatherboard from Marley Eternit has helped Redrow Homes make it through to the final stage of John Prescott's Design for Manufacture competition.
Redrow has already demonstrated it is capable of producing housing at a construction cost of ?60,000 or less through its Debut range. These Weatherboard clad affordable starter homes were sold inclusive of full development costs on first release at Willans Green, Rugby with prices starting at ?50,000.
Marley Eternit's Weatherboard used at Willans Green was provided in blue-grey and ivory with aluminium corners on the first and second storey elevations to complement brickwork on the ground floors. It was specified for its durability, lightness and its inert characteristics.
